All About Graphic Tees
I can’t imagine I’m alone when I say that my wardrobe these days primarily consists of graphic tees and pants of the elastic waist variety. Admittedly, my t-shirt collection is alarmingly large from my years in apparel manufacturing. I should utilize opportunity for a much needed purge, but I have also enjoyed the newly expanded length of time between laundry days.
My mission these days is a simple one. Finding something comfortable to wear throughout the day, pairs perfectly with my favorite shorts, looks cute for video conference calls, but is basically glorified day-time pajamas. Queue the ever popular, graphic t-shirt.
Let me first start by saying it took me a long time to hop on the graphic t-shirt train. Primarily because I felt like I couldn’t wear them as frequently or a basic or striped tee - and as a cost conscious fashionista, that seemed like a waste. However, after J.Crew upped their game and launched a series of funny food themed tees, I was hooked.
My advice with graphic tees is simple: wear something you’re passionate about, wear a worthy cause, find something funny, or focus on a positive message..
Being a walking billboard should spark conversation and spread positivity. Whatever you do, avoid vulgar commentary and graphics based upon a current trend. By the time you get your wear out of it, the trend is long gone never to be seen again.
