Oh, Darling! Remember when Caleb planned a surprise vacation?

Let me first start by saying on all of our many vacations, I do the research and logistics, and Caleb shows up ready to party like there’s no tomorrow. And by party I mean take a few naps, lounge by the pool, and enjoy anything and everything that does not involve work calls or emails. When Caleb dropped the birthday bomb on me, you can understand my shock and anxiety amusement when I was the one along for the ride! 

We found ourselves at Breathless Resorts Cabo San Lucas, situated perfectly on the marina for the most magical week. We’ve never stayed at a resort that was in a highly populated area, so being in the marina was a real treat. We ate breakfast watching the boats get ready for a busy day of shows, snorkeling, and sailing. We strolled the shops, saw the sights, and spent every waking second not eating at the rooftop pool.

Bottomless poolside pineapple margaritas from our enabler Jose, all the shrimp tacos you can possibly eat, daily cooking classes for things we will absolutely never remember, and an afternoon DJ? Hello, we live here now. 

This was one of my very favorite vacations, and I can’t believe this guy was able to keep it a secret for so long! Counting down the days until we can hop on a plane and enjoy the beach for a week, or three.
