Out of all the dresses I enjoy altering for customers, quite often I get asked to alter Milky Cross. The first time I was asked to alter this dress, I wasn’t even sure it was possible, but I after doing the math and looking over the dress in person, I decided to formulate a plan and make altering it a reality. It is one of my favorite dresses, and even though I have working with organza fabric, this one is always quite fun for me!
The great thing about this dress is that the skirt has more fabric than a typical AP dress, so it can be let out without too much of a risk of losing the lolita silhouette.
This is the back of the jsk after is has been altered.
Here is a before picture of what I typically have to work with.
It is a little tricky to alter this with the waist ties, but I think the end result looks really nice! Another bonus to this jsk alteration is that I am able to give customers an additional 3-4 inches of strap length!
Here is a pic of the inner lining. I don’t take too many pictures of this because it hadn’t occurred to me very much that people might want to see the inside lining, haha! 🙂
Thanks for looking and if you have a milky cross you need altered, just know I will be happy to do it for you!
Have a darling day,
