The Emotions of Quarantine: as told by gifs

When I left my office for the day on March 13, I truly had no idea that a mere 19 weeks later I’d still be working from the comfort of my own home. Is my aloe plant still alive? Is missing my desk chair weird? Will I even remember how to get to the office?

The last few months have been filled with the most bizarre series of emotions. Does Home Depot miss me too? Is it weird I enjoy staring out the kitchen window watching my neighbors extravagant back yard lunch parties? At what point do I need to try on a pair of pants to make sure they still fit?

What a time to be alive.

Without further ado, I present to you: the emotions of quarantine, as told by gifs:

1. When you emerge from your house for the first time in 9 days.

2. When the dog barks mid Zoom call.

3. When you eat your 4th meal by noon.

4. When you have to go to the bathroom during a meeting, but you never put pants on.

5. When you’ve been playing a game on your phone during a meeting and you hear “anything you’d like to add, Jordan?”

6. When it’s 2:00pm and you wind up in the pantry again.

7. When Netflix asks if you’re still watching, even though they already know.

8. When you hear a weird noise.

9. When you try a new Pinterest recipe for dinner.

10. When Caleb calls to say he’s on his way home from work.

Ooh quarantine. What a humbling, emotional, weird, not-enough-hours-in-the-day-to-ever-be-hungry experience.

Michael Scott said it best.
