Oh, Darling! 5 things I absolutely will not be doing during quarantine.
The first few weeks, Minnie wasn’t sure what to think. Why are you here? At what point will you look away so I can get on the couch and snooze to my hearts content? We’ve now reached the level that she avoid’s me, and has decided to get out of bed when she’s good and ready - sometimes 2-3 hours after I’ve been up. Am I living with a teenager?
Dining Room Chandelier
As you’ve already seen, we don’t do the cookie cutter projects around here. We like to make messes, overcomplicate things, and overall just live for that yolo vibe. Ok, made that last part up but you get what I mean.
Our Dining Room Table
When we bought our current house, our dining room sat empty for the better part of two years. I was feeling indecisive with my design direction, but also partially committed to having a sizable dance floor in the immediate vicinity. Fortunately for me, Caleb can build anything, and absolutely zero people want to watch my seizure-like dance moves.
Oh, Darling! Can you guess what’s on my post-quarantine to do list?
41 days, 5 hours, and 37 minutes - but who’s counting? Me, actually. Mostly because I have so much extra time on my hands these days, my obsessive-like counting has become a recent addition to my repertoire.
Master Bedroom Accent Wall
I had been officially working from home all of maybe 24 hours before I decided I needed a project - something to fill all of the time I now had on my hands eliminating my nearly 50 mile round-trip commute to the office.
Just call me a design junkie in need of a quick fix.
Oh, Darling! Did I tell you about the time I was a fashion blogger?
I did what any other sensible twenty-something would do, I got myself a J.Crew credit card and never looked back. While my style has evolved since that point in my life, my love for J.Crew could undoubtedly withstand the test of time.
Kitchen Lighting Refresh
All of this extra time at home has me itching for all of the DIY projects I haven’t had time for. But let’s be honest, by me I mean Caleb.
Oh, Darling! Did you hear the news? I’m back!
I for one, never thought I’d see the day that I’d be back. After years of questions, suggestions and not so subtle reminders that some people (other than my mother) enjoy reading what I put out into the universe, I’m dusting off the ol’ MacBook and I’m comin’ for ya!
Oh, Darling! I’d love to hear from you.
